Welcome to our new members:
We are now at 45 members strong.
Thank you for our members who continue to make our Club a success:
Evelyn Colby for her successful 50/50 weekly raffle. We added
$24 to our Treasurer as a result of her efforts.
Jude Rozzi and Adrian Genotti for the collaboration on the golf towels.
Jude purchased the towels, Adrian added the grommet holes.
Phyllis Creasey who replaced Luci Wood as the Coordinator for the Wednesday Women’s Golf.
Claire Risser and Dee Richard for supplying the wonderful goodies for our Saturday Play. Dates are open if you would like to help with this effort. The signup board is on the Golf Board.
Dates to Remember:
July 11 at 1 p.m. is our monthly FMGC Meeting. This meeting is open to all members.
Our Annual FMGC Champagne Breakfast will be held on July 12 at 9 a.m. This event is headed up by Jude Rozzi. Tickets will be sold at the door. More info to come on this event.
Back by popular demand, the second golf clinic will be held on July 18 at 1 p.m. This clinic is open to the entire Lake Forest Community. A sign up sheet will be posted on the Golf Board. Note: attendees would have to pay course fees of either $10 or $2 to go to the clinic unless they have already paid for the day.
Lake Forest Course Clarification:
Recently two member concerns were brought up to the Golf Committee:
- Use of the course by non members during League Play.
- Use of the course for practice.
After a discussion with Dave Mankus, here are his clarifications:
- League Play is not exclusive. If weekend, weekly, etc. campers want to play on the course on Wednesday mornings, Friday mornings or Saturday mornings, they have the right to play. The Golf League would have to play around them. The only time the course would be closed is for an event that would fill the entire course. Example: Charity Tournament.
- All course fees apply whether you are practicing or playing. If you practice on the course you will be charged either $10 or $2. The only place that you can practice for free is the rally field. Therefore, for the upcoming clinic a fee will be charged if the attendee has not paid the daily fee.
Please plan on attending our next meeting. If you can volunteer for any of our activities, please contact me or another member of the Committee.
See you on the Course.
